Fantasy: Fan Team rolls on
Our team made it 7 wins in a row after toppling ladder leaders Brisbane in the fan league.
Our team made it 7 wins in a row after toppling ladder leaders Brisbane in the fan league last weekend. The only blemish on the season so far has been a 19-point loss in the first week - since then we've been unstoppable and now sit a game clear on top of the ladder.
In even better news, our entire list is available for selection this week, with the third of the bye rounds passing with little incident. Our Round 10 score of 1669 was solid, but we should see that figure jump this week.
Gary Ablett had just his second sub-par game for the season, but there were plenty of others who stood up. Kade Simpson turned out to be the perfect inclusion last week (well done to all who voted for him), with 143 points in his first game for us. Other high performers included Scott Pendlebury, Dayne Beams, Dustin Martin, Jimmy Bartel, and of course, our little superstar in Brent Harvey.
Our team as it currently stands is below. We currently have Brent Harvey in the midfield, but the Mid/Fwd flexibility of Cam Shenton means that we can move him around as required.
This week's matchup
Coincidentally, our fan team will also take on West Coast this week. In fantasy, the 'WCE Fan Team' sit in second last place. They've only won 1 of their last 5 matchups, but their team this week is better than their head to head record indicates.
They are stacked full of Eagles (7 on their list in total) but have the talent to cause an upset. Last time we played them, we only won narrowly, by 80 points.
Here's hoping we come away from Paterson's stadium with two wins, in both reality and fantasy.
On the block
Another star midfielder is the order of the day, or we can look at grabbing another defender to boost our scoring power this week. Jeremy Laidler was on the block last week, and he'll be up there again, as is Matt Crouch, who was dropped from the senior Adelaide team last week.
We could trade any of Billy Longer, Mitch Hallahan, or Cam Shenton, but they either have price increases left or provide us with some flexibility in terms of setting our lineup.
By moving Laidler and Crouch, we can do the old 'bring in a gun and a rookie', improving our scoring ability and grabbing someone to make us some extra cash.
Trades
We'll look after the rookie selection this week, based on the fantasy star that you select.
