Waite's tradition continues
New Roo Jarrad Waite will keep jumper 30 at North Melbourne.
The star forward played 184 games for Carlton and wore 30; a number synonymous with the Waite family.
Timing is everything in football and Waite’s move coincided with the departure of Tom Curran who held the No. 30 for the past few seasons.
Shaun Higgins moves from the No. 7 he had at the Bulldogs, to No. 4 at Arden Street. Names such as Sam Kekovich, Ross Glendinning and Mick Martyn, among others have made the number famous at the club and it has some serious premiership credentials.
North’s draftees have also been assigned their jumpers with Sam Durdin set to wear No. 24 (Dynon, Dempsey, Sholl, Firrito), Daniel Nielsen No. 26 (Johnson, Ishchenko, Bell, Rocca) and Ed Vickers-Willis No.33 (Larsen, Allison).
