Steve Johnson will miss Friday night's clash against North Melbourne after accepting a one-match ban for misconduct.

The midfielder was found guilty of making contact with the head of Fremantle's Ryan Crowley during the Cats' Round 9 clash.

Johnson is a huge out for Chris Scott's team; he polled two Brownlow Medal votes when Geelong last met the Kangaroos, racking up 28 disposals and a goal.
