After missing last weekend due to illness, Ben Jacobs will return to the North Ballarat side to face Bendigo on Sunday.

The Roosters will have to overcome a four hour trip to Swan Hill to face Bendigo, as they aim for their third consecutive victory.

North Ballarat will rely heavily on the influence of some key Kangaroos; the midfield quartet of Brad McKenzie, Liam Anthony, Trent Dumont and Jacobs all vital to its chances.

Anthony in particular is coming off a strong 30-possession game which saw him named as an emergency for the senior side's clash against Geelong. With his good form noticed, another strong game may see him in the 22 to make the trip west in Round 11.

Werribee will enjoy an appearance on ABC TV on Saturday afternoon, facing Richmond at Avalon Airport Oval.

In the battle of the Tigers, leading VFL goal-kicker Mason Wood will have to deal with increased scrutiny.

Much like Anthony, Wood was rewarded for his good form, named as an AFL emergency. It appears the number 32 is now the next in the queue for a senior game, should North opt for a change to its forward setup.

Kieran Harper has been able to string together a string of games for Werribee, and is rounding into solid form.

The skillful forward/on-baller collected 11 possessions, 5 tackles and kicked two goals last week against Sandringham, and much of the same could help his VFL side into the top four at the conclusion of the weekend.

Daniel Currie may have the marquee matchup of the afternoon, battling against Richmond-listed Ivan Maric in his comeback from injury.

It looms as the perfect opportunity for Currie to put his hand up and challenge for senior selection once more.
