North Melbourne has officially launched the 2025 Good Friday SuperClash and welcomed leading global toy and family entertainment company, Mattel on board as the presenting partner of the match.
With a portfolio of brands including Barbie, Hot Wheels and UNO, Mattel spreads the message of the transformative power of play through their iconic products, inspiring joy and creativity across generations.
In 2024, North Melbourne and Carlton played in front of a sold-out crowd at Marvel Stadium, with the match raising $312,088 for the Royal Children’s Hospital.
Since 2017, the match has contributed over $2 million to the Good Friday Appeal.
"We are thrilled to welcome Mattel on board as we officially launch the 2025 Good Friday SuperClash," North Melbourne CEO Jen Watt said.
"The Good Friday SuperClash is the league’s key marquee match for kids and families, making Mattel’s commitment the perfect unison. Mattel’s involvement will further allow us to elevate the magic of the day through the power of fun and play in-stadium and around the concourse.
"We are incredibly proud of what the Good Friday SuperClash has become since its launch in 2017. It’s a day for perspective, where football takes a back seat and we celebrate the amazing patients, families and staff of the Royal Children’s Hospital.
"A fundamental element of the SuperClash each year is the money raised to assist the Royal Children’s Hospital in continuing to deliver world-class care to patients and their families. In 2025, we are striving to make yet another record-breaking donation, a goal we will only achieve with the help, support and generosity of the North Melbourne and Carlton football communities."
Mattel’s Senior Director – Marketing APAC Tim Nolan said Mattel is proud to be part of the Good Friday SuperClash in 2025.
"As Mattel celebrates 80 years of bringing joy to generations through the power of play, we’re incredibly proud to partner with North Melbourne for the 2025 Good Friday SuperClash to raise vital funds and awareness for the Royal Children’s Hospital," Nolan said.
"Just like football, toys have a unique ability to unite people, spark imagination, and create shared moments that transcend generations. This partnership is a natural fit, allowing us to showcase the power of play while supporting a cause that makes a real difference for the children and families being treated at the Royal Children’s Hospital.
"For eight decades, Mattel has believed in the wonder of childhood, and we’ve seen how play can bring joy, inspire creativity, and create lasting connections. But beyond fun, play has the power to comfort and heal—especially for those doing it tough, particularly where even a small moment of play can make a big difference.
"We’re honoured to help bring the magic of play on this special day with beloved brands like Barbie, Hot Wheels, and UNO, in support of the club’s incredible work for the Royal Children’s Hospital."
