At the end of each season, there is the obligatory discussion about who could take “Charlie” home. Footy fans stretch their memories back to games played several months prior in an effort to identify their club’s best chance at winning the coveted award.

This year NMFC.com.au is asking for your help to determine the three best players from each game and you can vote in the Mazda Spirit Awards for your best three Kangaroos.

Ben Cunnington – NMFC

Cunnington’s tally of eight clearances was almost double the next highest (five), and he also had 26 disposals.

Trent Dumont – NMFC

Tasked with the responsibility of Saints star Jack Steven, Dumont was excellent in both minimising his influence while also collecting 16 disposals and a goal himself.

Sam Gibson – NMFC

The midfielder continued where he left off against Collingwood, collecting another 28 disposals against the Saints.

Todd Goldstein – NMFC

The match was largely based around the stoppage battle, and Goldstein’s victory over Tom Hickey was a big reason why North was able to have almost a five-goal advantage in scores from clearances.

Jamie Macmillan – NMFC

No player had more than Macmillan’s 31 disposals, and the 24-year-old also had seven rebound 50s to help North rebound time and time again from its defensive end.

Drew Petrie – NMFC

Lifting for Harvey’s record-breaking match, Petrie was influential at key moments on Saturday. His tally of 12 marks was the highest by any player. The key-forward also collected 18 disposals and kicked two goals.
