Brad Scott has already forecasted changes to the side that disappointed against Brisbane. Against an in-form Hawks’ side, getting the right mix is vital.

Those in the VFL continue to push for a call-up, while some who may have once been regulars in the team could be under pressure hold their spot.

One thing is for sure, it’s going to be an interesting week at the selection table.

NMFC.com.au looks at those who could be in the mix for selection.

Have your say on the potential changes below.

4. Liam Anthony
The reason: Hawthorn boasts plenty of outside run with Isaac Smith in career-best form, and the likes of Shaun Burgoyne, Grant Birchall and Matt Suckling damaging out of defence.

The ball-winning ability of the number 4 would mean the Hawks are forced to be accountable going the other way.

The challenge: Anthony has played as the substitute in all three of his appearances this season, a role which Ben Jacobs thrived in last week.

If he was to start, it may be a challenge to keep the pace for four quarters against the reigning premiers given his relative lack of AFL game time this year.

6. Lachlan Hansen
The reason: Against a side boasting the likes of Jarryd Roughead, Jack Gunston and David Hale in attack, North will be desperate for another tall in defence.

He pulled down 10 marks when the teams last met.

The challenge: A late withdrawal last week due to soreness, he’s an automatic inclusion if fit.

14. Trent Dumont
The reason: Despite being tagged out of the game for the most part last week, the 2013 draftee’s form has been strong enough previously to suggest he could be close.

The challenge: It would be a tough initiation.

19. Sam Wright
The reason: His VFL form has been good enough to warrant strong consideration, whether it be in attack or down back.

North struggled to keep the ball in its forward 50 last week in the absence of Robin Nahas and another medium-sized option to assist Lindsay Thomas may be important.

The challenge:
Wright has struggled at AFL level in his four games this season, and the selectors may opt to mix things up with another option.

23. Kieran Harper
The reason: North has lacked x-factor in recent weeks and like Wright, Harper is capable of pressuring opposition defenders and making them accountable.

He’s played regular football in the past two months despite an injury interrupted pre-season and looks ready to go.

The challenge: Consistency. He had 8 disposals in one quarter on the weekend at Werribee, but just 14 for the game.

If recalled, it could be as the substitute and the worry would be his ability to impact without time to work into the game.

26. Taylor Hine
The reason: Playing mainly as a defender, his form has been terrific at Werribee.

He has the ability to lock down the opposition’s most damaging player and given the impact of Bernie Vince and Pearce Hanley in consecutive weeks, it might be time to introduce a dedicated stopper.

The challenge:
Having not played at AFL level this year, he may find the going tough early if thrown straight into a tagging role.

32. Mason Wood
The reason: Has done plenty to suggest he’s ready for an AFL debut, regularly hitting the scoreboard and at one stage, led the VFL goal kicking.

Showing his ability to move further up the ground in a wing role last week, he could provide another vital link in the chain going forward.

The challenge:  Like Dumont, it could be tough to be introduced on the big stage against one of the league’s powerhouses.

38. Majak Daw
The reason: With the Hawks boasting two capable ruckmen in Jonathon Ceglar and David Hale, a lot weighs on the shoulders of Todd Goldstein.

Daw has shown great improvement at VFL level holding down the ruck duties in the absence of Dan Currie.

The key-forwards outside of Drew Petrie struggled again last week, and it might be time to mix things up again.

The challenge: A strong game for Werribee would have had Daw in the box-seat for a recall, but he was quieter than in recent weeks.

42. Scott McMahon
The reason: The experienced defender hasn’t missed a beat during his time at Werribee and is arguably one of the players most deserving of a call-up.

The challenge: The likely return of Lachlan Hansen could make things a little tougher, but his ability to play tall or small strengthens his argument.
