Nathan Grima has been stepping things up in his recovery from a debilitating back injury but unfortunately things haven’t been going as well for him off the field.

The key defender was left in shock after discovering he’d been burgled not once, but twice. First his home was broken intoand renovation site.

"I’m living with my fiancee and another friend of ours that’s helping with our renovation and he came home (one night) and the window was up and someone’s helped themselves to all of our stuff," Grima told Triple M Footy.

"Didn’t think it could get any worse and then three days later they cleaned out my renovation, taking all of my tools and all of my stuff in my storeroom.”

The 29-year-old lost thousands of dollars of tools and other items.

"Hopefully I can do a good insurance claim and get about a thousand new tools."

It’s been 12 weeks since Grima had surgery to remove a piece of disc in his back and while he admitted not being up to dealing with the burglar himself, he said he could call in help.

"If that prick listens to Triple M whoever keeps breaking into my joint, I can’t fight but I know a few tough blokes that might get a hold of you," he said laughing.
