Just hours before flying to Sydney, North hit the track at Aegis Park for a light skills session.

With wet conditions expected for tomorrow's NAB Cup match against the Swans, it was no surprise the final preparations included stoppage work.

Ruck coach Alex Ishchenko was on hand to provide tips to Todd Goldstein and Hamish McIntosh as they prepare to combat one of the best ruckmen in the competition in Shane Mumford. That ruck duel will be critical to the outcome of the match.

The forwards were also given the opportunity to work on goal kicking. Ironically, it was in last year's Round 10 encounter against the Swans where inaccuracy cost North Melbourne a possible win. On that day, four more scoring shots than the visitors counted for nothing in a heartbreaking one point defeat.

With a strong Sydney squad named, all is set for a high quality NAB Cup contest.
