Ben Cunnington had arguably the best game of his short career on Saturday, and it didn’t go unnoticed by the coach.

Brad Scott and Neil Craig both voted the North Melbourne midfielder as the best player on the field, handing him 10 votes.

With 34 disposals, 2 goals, 7 tackles and 9 clearances, Cunnington was the clear standout against the Demons, but he wasn’t alone in his dominance.

Todd Goldstein’s form was questioned during the week by some in the media, and he responded in the perfect fashion. He had 20 disposals (a season-high), two goals and  49 hit-outs to give his midfielders first use.

The big man was joined by Brent Harvey in polling seven votes.

Harvey amassed 35 possessions, pumped the ball inside 50 on 10 occasions and kicked a running goal in the big win.

Meanwhile, Ryan Bastinac’s four-goal haul helped him to two votes. He also had 20 possessions and 5 tackles in one of his best games for the season.

Aaron Black also booted four majors, while Lachlan Hansen (26 disposals, 10 marks) and Daniel Wells (25 touches, 2 goals) completed a clean sweep of the votes for North.
