An important piece of the North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos’ side has been locked away for two years with Jess Duffin putting pen to paper.
The deputy-vice captain and All-Australian will call Arden St home until at least the end of 2021.
It means North has retained its leadership group and core according to coach Scott Gowans.
“Our leaders did a fantastic job in a year where so many players were new to one another or had limited experience,” he said.
“The way they managed to pull the group together and lead by example was exceptional. Having them re-sign gives us great stability and direction.”
Ash Riddell, Sophie Abbatangelo, Beth Lynch, Elisha King, Taylor Mesiti and Jess Trend have also re-committed have also signed new deals.
“The list is shaping up very well,” Gowans added.
“A key for us was being able to keep the group together as much as we could, and we’ve able to do that, to a large degree.”
