Peace Hanley is in doubt for Saturday night's clash against North Melbourne, but Dayne Beams has signalled his intention to play.
Hanley (hamstring) will need to pass a fitness test to prove his availability.
"Pearcey was subbed out (against Melbourne) a little earlier than we would have liked," Brisbane's Physical Performance Coordinator Matt Hass told the club's website.
"He had a back related hamstring discomfort. He was tightening up through the hamstring. He’s had that in previous weeks and it was fairly back related.
"He’ll train this week and be put through a fitness test."
Hanley was the match-winner when the teams met at the GABBA in round 15 last year, racking up 34 disposals.
Meanwhile, Beams said he'll be "right to go", despite carrying a shoulder injury.
"It's obviously a little bit sore at the moment," Beams said.
"I'm getting it strapped and it's staying in place.
"I think at this stage of the year, most AFL players are carrying something. For me it's no different.
"I'm still fronting up and going out there to play and it's not worrying me out there, I don't think about it.
"It's a little bit sore, but I'm right to go."
Beams has averaged 29 possessions a game in his first season at Brisbane.
