It’s set to be one of the most memorable matches in North Melbourne history, and the trip to Brisbane for Brent Harvey’s 400th game is likely to see at least two changes.
Drew Petrie will come straight back into the side, while Jamie Macmillan’s hamstring injury sees him sidelined. A like-for-like swap is improbable given their different roles.

Defenders
Luke McDonald picked a timely week to turn in a strong performance for Werribee. As development manager Ben Dyer told NMFC.com.au:
“It was a much better game from him and he was doing the things we’ve come to expect of him.”

Joel Tippett has also played well in recent weeks for North Ballarat. Even though Brisbane normally relies on its smaller forwards, the key-defender is providing a solid body of work if he is called upon in the near future.
The availability of Lachlan Hansen is still up in the air. Having missed the last fortnight due to a hip injury, he would likely come straight back into the 22 if cleared to play.
Forwards
Robbie Nahas was arguably the Roosters’ best player on the weekend. He kicked three goals, collected 15 disposals and laid nine tackles in a well-rounded performance and is itching to get back into the side.

Petrie will almost certainly come straight back into the team after serving his one-match suspension. He has enjoyed individual success against the Lions in the past, averaging almost 5.5 scoring shots a game in his last eight.
Midfielders
Trent Dumont and Brad McKenzie are options to come in if the match committee elects to replace Macmillan with another ball-winner.

The two were more than serviceable for the Roosters and could be called upon to perform a role if required.
