North Melbourne has ruled Leigh Adams out of Werribee's upcoming match in the VFL after the small forward sustained another concussion on the weekend.
"Leigh received a head knock in the third term against Collingwood at Victoria Park and reported feeling unwell," Director of Football Geoff Walsh told NMFC.com.au.
"He was removed from the ground and took no further part in the game under the care of Werribee medical staff.
"Leigh was assessed by our doctor Andy McMahon at Arden Street this afternoon and has shown a great degree of improvement since Sunday.
"As a result of the incident yesterday and Leigh's recent history, we've elected to rule him out for this weekend's match."
Adams will have at least two weeks to recover, with North Melbourne and its VFL affiliates due for a bye weekend following the upcoming round.
Walsh said the club won't be making any statements about his long-term future.
"We will follow the usual protocols and procedures with respect to injuries of this nature and will monitor Leigh closely throughout the week," Walsh said.
Adams had played two matches for the Tigers since returning from a bout of concussion earlier in the year.
