The unprecedented interest in North’s first Indigenous guernsey should come as little surprise when you discover the incredible story behind it.

For artist Sarrita King, it was a project she simply had to be involved in.

“Do what you love… love what you do” is the quote King lives by, readily exemplified in her work.

The daughter of famous artist, the late William King Jungala, King belongs to the Gurindiji people. Her father’s lessons about Aboriginal heritage and the connection between everything in our world the inspiration behind some amazing pieces of art.

King was approached by the club to design its Indigenous jumper and conceived a remarkable vision for the design after speaking with Daniel Wells and Lindsay Thomas during a visit to Arden Street.

Using Kangaroo paw prints to signify a "coming together", King's creation has touched the hearts of North fans with the jumper almost sold out in less than a week.
