The Roos’ VFL representatives will be desperate to impress this weekend, with time running out to put their name up for selection.
Just six games remain in the AFL home and away season and Brad Scott and his match committee will be looking to settle on their best 22 as a potential finals campaign nears.
North Ballarat will boast a strong contingent of AFL-listed players for its clash against the Blues, with as many as eight Kangaroos in action.
Aaron Mullett is set to make his return from hamstring soreness and will no doubt be searching for the form that grabbed the attention of the selectors in his previous VFL stint.
Trent Dumont and Brad McKenzie will be pivotal through the midfield, at the feet of Braydon Preuss, while Robin Nahas will look to continue his strong form and push for a call-up.
Nahas booted four goals last week, as did Aaron Black, who has been in rich vein of form in the past couple of months.
Joel Tippett and Max Warren didn’t have much to do last week against Frankston, but should face more of a challenge this week against a dangerous Blues’ forward line.
At Werribee, Lachlan Hansen will again be looking to make a case for a recall, lining up alongside the in-form Scott McMahon in defence.
Mason Wood and Majak Daw could prove a handful around the goals for the Casey Scorpions’ backs, while Eric Wallace continues to hold down the number one ruck spot in the absence of Daniel Currie.
Kieran Harper and Will Fordham are sure to spend time through the middle of the ground.
