It's 2010, and in game 281 for North Melbourne, Brent Harvey registers just five disposals.
The critics are circling; the Roos' 104-point Round 2 loss against St Kilda doesn't help the cause, but it's 'Boomer' in the firing line.
"People started writing me off and said I should retire and that the game had gone past me," Harvey recalled in an interview with The Herald Sun's Glenn McFarlane.
Of course, there was no logical reason to "write off" the North number 29. Even a dislocated elbow suffered the previous season did little to impact his performance in 2009.
In hindsight it was simply a bad night, with the Saints' Clint Jones tagging him closely throughout.
Nevertheless, Harvey had a point to prove.
"I was pretty fired up the next week against the Eagles and just wanted to prove all the doubters wrong," he later said.
It's fair to say he achieved that goal!
As the team silenced its own critics with 25-point win over West Coast, Harvey was simply outstanding.
After one of the lowest disposal counts of his career, he bounced back with his career-high. In all, 44 possessions, 6 inside 50s, 11 marks and a goal.
Oh, and 13 bounces ... 7 of which came from one famous play.
It's fair to say, in a single game, Harvey had proven the doubters wrong.
April 10 must be a personal favourite, because six years later, to the day, he booted six goals in a memorable Round 3, 2016 encounter against Melbourne.
And while Harvey's performance was pretty special, as was Todd Goldstein's, with 19 disposals, 5 goals and 38-hit-outs, it was the amazing finish which everyone remembers most.
Having led all day, the Roos looked headed for another victory at Blundstone Arena. The finish however, had the fans, and coaches, on the edge of their seats.
