The Western Bulldogs had expected to be without Matthew Suckling for Friday night's clash with North, but have also had to rule out Caleb Daniel.
It was thought Suckling’s knee would keep him from playing however his injury is much more complicated.
“Matty obviously came off during the game, we’ve had scans since and he has got a low-grade injury to his medial ligament of his knee,” Bulldogs General Manager of Football Graham Lowe told the club's website.
“He also has a high ankle sprain, so that’s going to take a little bit longer in terms of return, so we’re expecting a minimum of four weeks.”
Daniel was a late withdrawal from the clash against the Lions, with calf tightness his issue.
“We’ve scanned him since and he has a minor calf injury that we’re managing” Lowe said.
“He won’t be available this weekend but we’re giving him every chance to be available for selection next week.”
