There are many necessary skills needed to become a leader and through The Huddle’s latest program, the Kangaroos' star will share some of his knowledge with other young and aspiring people.
“Leadership takes a lot of work but it is so rewarding. For some people it can come quite naturally but that doesn’t mean it’s easy,” Swallow told NMFC.com.au.
“The people you look up to always help you grow as a leader and I have been fortunate enough to play under two of the best captains in Adam Simpson and Brent Harvey at North Melbourne.
"It’s hugely important to have the right people to learn from when you’re developing leadership skills and that’s why this new initiative is so valuable.”
The Huddle’s Community Leadership Program offers young people aged 16 and over the opportunity to develop various skills such as critical thinking, communication, decision making and conflict resolution.
Swallow and team-mate Todd Goldstein, as well as other key people from areas of business and the community will offer advice and speak of their experiences with the group.

If you have been in Australia for less than six years and reside in or around the North Melbourne, Kensington or Flemington area then the club would love you to get involved.
