North Melbourne had its first competitive full-game hit-out at Arden Street on Saturday with an intra-club match using Werribee top-up players.
Daniel Wells was a standout and showed no signs of the achilles injury that cruelled his 2015 season while Brent Harvey put his experience on show booting a handful of goals in just a half of play.
The match provided the Roos’ draftees and new faces a chance to put their hands up for NAB Challenge selection.
