1st quarter: Round 1, 1925 v Geelong
In their very first game in the VFL, the Kangaroos travelled to Geelong and kicked 4.7 in the second quarter to overcome an early 16-point deficit.
Considering the lower scores of the era, it would be the equivalent of a seven or eight goal quarter nowadays.
4th quarter: 1977 drawn Grand Final v Collingwood
27 points down at three quarter time, the Magpie army roaring, a season slipping away…
North came out on fire in the final term, kicking five goals to one before going on the next week to win its second premiership.
4th quarter: 1985 Elimination Final v Carlton
The game which birthed one of the most iconic photos in North’s history, the Roos kicked eight last quarter goals to cap off a stunning comeback against the Blues.

1st quarter: Round 2, 1990 v Richmond
Almost three decades later, this still stands as North’s heaviest scoring quarter.
An amazing 13-goal opening was the foundation for a 140-point win which is the biggest in club history.
4th quarter: Round 15, 1993 v Essendon
In a season full of breakout moments, this final term against the eventual premiers was one of the best.
Eight goals to just one turned a 10-point three quarter time deficit into a thumping 38-point win.

2nd quarter: Round 17, 2000 v Melbourne
It was one of the more bizarre afternoons in North’s successful run under Denis Pagan.
The Roos kicked 14 goals for the game. 11 of them came in an incredible second quarter blitz and it gave them just enough to hang on for a one-point win.
1st quarter: Round 16, 2001 v Essendon
Arguably the most famous regular season game in AFL history, North’s amazing 12-goal first quarter came against a Bombers side which had been taking all before it.
If only the remaining three quarters hadn’t played out as they did.
3rd quarter: Round 8, 2004 v Port Adelaide
The Power were one of the premiership favourites heading into 2004, and would eventually taste the ultimate success.
But early in the season it was North who was triumphant, with a staggering 10 unanswered goals in the third term turning the game into a blowout.
4th quarter: Round 19, 2004 v Sydney
Glenn Archer’s 250th game looked headed for disappointment when North trailed by 40 points at the SCG with a quarter to play.
But nine goals to two, capped off by a Corey Jones snap from the pocked, turned the night into one to remember.

1st quarter: Round 13, 2007 v Western Bulldogs
Continuing on Archer’s milestone theme, his 300th match doubled as Drew Petrie’s best individual quarter of his career.
An amazing six-goal opening term had the big man marking everything which came his way.

3rd quarter: Round 12, 2014 v Richmond
The Roos entered the rooms at half-time down 35 points and looking destined to fall to a heavy loss.
What followed was 20 minutes of mayhem in the third term, eight rapid fire goals sending the North fans wild.

1st quarter: Round 7, 2017 v Adelaide
The most recent of the lot, North blew the premiership favourites off the park at Blundstone Arena.
The 64-0 start was the Roos’ best ever term against the Crows.
