North Melbourne has fallen by 77 points at the hands of the Crows in Sunday's season-opener at Adelaide Oval.
Adelaide was dominant from the outset, with Taylor Walker stealing the show in the first half. The Crows' skipper finished the game with 15 marks and six goals in a best-on-ground performance.
The Crows' lead was 69 points just before half-time, before five quick goals from North reduced the margin to just 30.
Phil Walsh's team subdued the fightback though, powering away in the final term with six goals to nil.
Shaun Higgins kicked two early goals for the Kangaroos, ending with four for the game in an impressive debut.
The former Bulldog finished with 15 disposals, while Lindsay Thomas also battled bravely in attack with two goals to go with 17 possessions.

Todd Goldstein had a great battle in the ruck with Sam Jacobs, registering 35 hit-outs to go with 10 disposals.
For the Crows, Eddie Betts joined the party with four goals, while Patrick Dangerfield, Rory Sloane and Richard Douglas were all influential through the midfield.
North coach Brad Scott was understandably furious at the result.
"It was just a really disappointing performance, clearly the only thing you can put that down to in the short term is some terrific pressure from the opposition," Scott said.
"Their (the Crows) appetite for the contest was much better than ours – that's an indictment."
The Roos will have a seven-day break before looking to rebound against the Lions in next Sunday's first home match at Etihad Stadium.
