For years, players, staff and members have been frothing at the mouth at the thought of having a cuppa at Arden Street and many North people have been roasted over the question; Why doesn’t North Melbourne have a cafe?
As the club prepares for its AGM on Wednesday night, rumours have been brewing that the answer may have finally arrived.
The club’s bean counters have now approved the installation of a special coffee cart in the foyer and it’s expected to cause quite a stir.
Sitting proudly alongside the trophy cabinet, the coffee grinder itself could easily pass as another Premiership cup.
The fans put in the order and the club has served up the goods with the cart to be steaming away in time for Family Day on Sunday.
Operated by local café owner Sam Contarino from Café Trutrack on Leveson Street in North Melbourne, the cart will encourage more visitors to pour in through the doors and experience everything the Kangaroos have to offer.
Better latte than never...
