Melbourne has further improved its draft stocks, landing pick No.7 and GWS defender Tom Bugg in return for pick No.10, 43 and 64.
It concludes a busy day of trading for the Demons, who have made the most of the expansion clubs' need for points under the new father-son and academy bidding system to move up the draft order.
Earlier in the day, Melbourne sealed a pick swap with Gold Coast that saw them gain pick No.3 in the NAB AFL Draft in exchange for pick No.6 and the Demons' 2016 first-round pick.
The two deals leave the Demons with picks No.3, 7, 46 and 50 in this year's NAB AFL Draft as well as recruits Bugg, Jake Melksham and Ben Kennedy.
Victorian Bugg has been a solid contributor in four seasons with Greater Western Sydney, playing 65 matches. He can play as a defender or a run-with player and is a natural competitor.
Melbourne football manager Josh Mahoney told the club's website the Demons were rapt with the outcome and thought Bugg was a perfect fit.
"Bugg is a super competitive midfielder who is an elite runner and plays with an aggressive streak. He fits into our age bracket profile, as he turns 23 next year," Mahoney said.
Bugg received a NAB AFL Rising Star nomination in 2012 after being a 17-year-old access selection in 2011.
