Lindsay Thomas has been nominated for Mark of the Year after his incredible effort against Essendon on Friday night.

In the shadows of the third term, Robbie Tarrant kicked long inside 50 where Thomas leapt over Bombers’ defender Michael Hurley, twisting his body in mid-air and eventually taking a spectacular grab.
Wayne Carey described the mark perfectly on the Channel 7 coverage, explaining how the Kangaroos’ forward was able to take the mark.
“He’s got a habit of doing that. When he gets up, he twists in mid air and doesn’t like to use his hands hard at the footy,” Carey said.
“He likes (the ball) coming onto him softly – I don’t know how he took it!”
