First half review – Gavin Brown
“His last two games have been his best, mainly because his work rate has gone through the roof. It’s twigged with him now, he knows that’s the best opportunity to get involved in the game.
“He’s really getting on his bike and using his quickness for a tall. He’s been working up the ground higher and then going back to goal hard.”
Second half review – Ben Dyer
“There were times when he was dominant for quarters here and there, and there were glimpses of what he was capable of. Albeit sometimes at VFL level you can run to the right spot and present but still not getting used the same way you would under the roof at Etihad.
“With the shoulder getting done at the end of last year, he wasn’t able to do all the physical work in the pre-season. That probably showed a little bit in the contested side of his game. If he gets a good run we should see improvement.”
