North Melbourne has named a strong line-up for its clash against Footscray at Etihad Stadium.

Billy Hartung will make his North VFL debut, and Cameron Zurhaar will return after featuring in the senior side.

Co-captain Michael Close has been ruled out for the season after suffering a serious concussion, and Taylor Garner will also miss with a hamstring injury.

The Roos' VFL unit will take on the Bulldogs from 3.20pm, with as many as 15 AFL-listed players in action.
