Jarrad Waite will take part in full training this week, despite copping a knock to his hip against West Coast.
Waite looked in some discomfort after a marking contest in the Roos’ win over the Eagles and spent time on the bench being assessed and treated in the fourth quarter in Hobart.
He returned to the game after being cleared by the club’s medical team on the sidelines.
Director of Football Geoff Walsh said he anticipated Waite would be available for selection on Saturday.
“The players have Wednesday off, before returning to the track for training on Thursday and Friday,” Walsh told NMFC.com.au.
"Jarrad has pulled up really well and we will have him undertaking full training loads this week.
"We obviously wouldn't have sent him back on to the ground if there were any doubts about his fitness and our medical team are happy with how his body has recovered from Sunday's game."
Meanwhile, Nick Dal Santo is making steady progress and a return to AFL action could occur sooner than expected.
“This has been Nick’s first real serious injury of his career – but all credit to him – he’s done everything that’s been required of him and more.
“He’s back training with the group and certainly isn’t too far away from getting back into the side.”
