North Melbourne players today got an inside look at NBA side Utah Jazz.

Shaun Atley, Shaun Higgins, Jamie Macmillan and Jack Ziebell got a chance to watch Coach Quin Snyder take his players through their main training session, ahead of tonight’s game against Orlando Magic.

With two Australians on the Jazz’s books, in Dante Exum and Joe Ingles, the visit to the Zions Basketball Center gave the players a chance to compare professional sporting life in Salt Lake City and Melbourne.

Training on the day of a game is a bit of a foreign concept for those in AFL, but for NBA stars, it’s a way of life, as they deal with an 82 game season.

And while sadly neither Exum (Essendon) or Ingles (Hawthorn) support the Roos, they welcomed the players with open arms.

Ingles even owns an apartment opposite Arden St, so while in Australia has admitted to keeping a close eye on North Melbourne’s training sessions.

North players and staff were in the stands for Thursday (Utah time) night’s clash with Orlando at VivintSmart Home Arena.
