Following confirmation North Melbourne will continue to play three games a year in Hobart for at least the next five seasons, the club is welcoming registrations for its Next Generation Academy.

North’s Next Generation Academy will aim to ensure the game continues to attract and foster the development of players, regardless of background or location.

“We’re not sitting on our hands. The next wave of football talent will have a chance to be involved and recognised as part of the future of our great game through our various programs and academies,” club chairman James Brayshaw said.

“We’ll maintain our state-wide focus and will be working incredibly hard to provide a talent pathway for some future stars in both boys’ and girls’ competitions.”

North, in conjunction with AFL Tasmania is running tryouts for a 10 week elite development program for boys and girls aged between 11-15 years old.

Online registrations for Next Generation Academy Tasmania have now closed. If you wish to register for trials commencing July 11, please contact Laura Kane, Manager, Women’s Football and Talent Pathways directly at Laura.Kane@nmfc.com.au
