2016 will be the second year of an adjusted voting system to decide the Syd Barker Medalist.

After every game for the season, the match committee allocated their votes.

Brad Scott voted from 0-10 on each player per round, while the assistant coaches collectively voted from 0-10.

The maximum any player can poll in a single game is 20, and only their best 20 games of the season, plus finals count towards the final total.

10 votes are awarded for a truly exceptional performance. The sliding scale then works down to four for a good game, while two is for a player who has fulfilled his role.

Up until 2014, the voting system was a 5-4-3-2-1, with every game counting towards a player’s total.

If players between second and 10th finish the evening tied, the player with the most number of higher votes will end in the superior position.
