Adelaide will aim to execute quick ball movement and allow its forwards to compete one on one against North's defenders this Saturday night, Crows midfielder Richard Douglas says.
The Crows will travel to Etihad Stadium with a good record at the venue, having won close to half of their matches at Docklands.
Douglas said Adelaide was well placed to continue its high scoring, with the side registering 100 points or more in over half of its games at Etihad Stadium.
"We like to move the ball quickly," Douglas told reporters on Monday.
"Having a dangerous forward line, if you can get it in quick and give our forwards a one-on-one (contest), I think they'll provide plenty of headaches for North's defence.
"I think our outside speed has improved. That's something we've targeted in the off-season, and I think we've looked to train that as well.
"Hopefully we can put that on show come Saturday night and you can see what we’ve improved on there."
The Crows face several selection worries in the lead-up to their season-opening clash against the Roos.
Riley Knight (ankle), Charlie Cameron (knee), Andy Otten (knee) and Ricky Henderson (back) remain in line to take part in their first games of the year this Saturday at either AFL or SANFL level.
But half-back Curtly Hampton (foot), who joined the Crows from Greater Western Sydney in last year's trade period, and ruckman Paul Hunter (ankle) will be unavailable to play.
