A strong win against the Dockers could make it tough for North to make any changes at the selection table.

However, the strong form of those in the VFL may complicate things for Brad Scott and his match committee on Thursday.

Playing against an in-form Suns’ outfit choosing the best 22 is vital.

Forwards

Majak Daw and Aaron Black were both strong performers for Werribee on the weekend.

It’s going to be tough to break into the forward six though, with Mason Wood making the most of his opportunity against the Dockers and drawing praise from the coach.

Kayne Turner had an impact in the Tigers’ win over Frankston, while Robbie Nahas kicked only the one goal, but has scored a combined 11 goals in his last three outings.

Midfielders

Farren Ray is awaiting an opportunity after being promoted to the club’s senior list, while Trent Dumont has also been among the emergencies in recent weeks.

Brad McKenzie racked up 32 disposals for Werribee on Sunday.

The Roos’ draftees, including Ryan Clarke and Declan Mountford have been impressive at VFL level, but may have to wait a little longer for their opportunity.

Defenders

Lachie Hansen took 14 marks in a good return to form, but with Robbie Tarrant expected to be available, spots will be tight.

With Tom Lynch looming as one of the most dangerous key-forwards in the competition, there could be room for more cover in defence.

Aaron Mullett found plenty of the ball, and is another player who has been among the emergencies already this year, so is clearly in the selectors’ minds.
