North Melbourne will be out to capitalise on its strong home ground advantage at Blundstone Arena early in the season when it takes on Carlton in Round 4.
The Roos have won 11 of their last 15 encounters in Hobart and will take on the Blues under lights on a Saturday night to kick off their first of three games at the venue.
The details regarding the other two games will be released on Tuesday.
"North Melbourne and Hawthorn have forged homes away from home in Hobart and Launceston respectively, and we’re pleased to confirm their first games in Tasmania of the 2018 Toyota AFL Premiership Season," AFL General Manager of Clubs and Broadcasting Travis Auld said.
"We would like to thank the Tasmanian Government for their on-going support of AFL at all levels."
It's the first time Carlton has played at Blundstone Arena.
North will also play a pre-season match in Tasmania against Melbourne.
