Sam Gibson
By the end of 2016, Sam Gibson had stretched his consecutive games streak since debut to 108.
Rapidly closing in on the club record of 119, set by Keith Greig between 1972 and 1977, Gibson was one of the most consistent Roos throughout the year.
The 30-year-old led the Roos in uncontested possessions, providing an outlet for his inside midfielders while also having the third-most inside 50s for the side.
Gibson had his moments in front of goal as well, kicking a career-high three majors against Fremantle in Round 4, as well as multiple goals on three other occasions.
Of the midfield group, only Jack Ziebell (18 goals) hit the scoreboard more regularly.
