Small forward Jed Anderson could be sidelined for around eight weeks after suffering a hamstring injury against Adelaide.
“Jed sustained a tear to his proximal hamstring tendon on Saturday night and had scans on Sunday to assess the damage,” North Melbourne Director of Football Geoff Walsh told NMFC.com.au.
“We anticipate a recovery period of between eight to ten weeks at this stage.”
Anderson sustained the injury in the second quarter but was able to run off the ground to the bench.
Walsh said the injury was not a serious as Nick Dal Santo’s last season.
“Jed’s is a partial tear whereas Nick suffered a full tear so no surgery is required.
“Given the nature of Jed’s injury, we’ll be in a better position to give a more accurate time frame on his recovery period in the coming weeks.”
