Scans have cleared Ben Brown and Scott Thompson of any major injury, with the club waiting to see what the next 48 hours brings before determining their availability for this week.
Brown came from the field after feeling pain in his left knee in the second quarter of Saturday night's loss to the Dogs, while Thompson felt tightness in his adductor towards the end of the match.
Director of Football Geoff Walsh said thankfully, early scans showed there were no significant issues for either player.
“Scans have showed there is certainly no structural damage to either Ben or Scotty, but we’ll have to wait and see how they recover throughout the week as they are both still sore,” Walsh told NMFC.com.au.
“They will have to prove their fitness of course, so it is a wait and see prospect as to whether they will be available for selection this weekend against the Hawks.”
Meanwhile, Ryan Clarke was also given the all clear, after he left the ground late in the match following a heavy knock to the shoulder.
“As Brad (Scott) said on the weekend, there was no structural damage done and ‘Clarkey’ was kept off as a precaution late in the match. We expect him to be available this weekend.”
