North Melbourne is delighted to announce it has partnered with iconic Tasmanian boot brand, Blundstone.
Blundstone are known around the world for their work and lifestyle boots.
With North Melbourne set to play another three home games in Hobart in 2016, the club was thrilled to be welcoming yet another Tasmanian partner on board.
Blundstone CEO Steve Gunn said the partnership was an obvious one, given the heritage and values of the two organisations.
“Blundstone has been a champion for football in Tasmania for many years. We even used to make footy boots back in the 1960s,” Mr Gunn said.
“North Melbourne has put in some really solid foundations in Tasmania, and we are delighted to be joining as a partner of the club.
“We at Blundstone know both ourselves and the Roos are on the rise. The Blundstone brand sees the AFL community as a perfect fit for our products, both work and leisure.”
North Melbourne Managing Director and CEO Carl Dilena welcomed the Tasmanian brand on board.
“Our footprint in Tasmania is growing, and having Blundstone as part of our club is exciting for both parties,” Mr Dilena said.
“I’ve got no doubt all our members have worn Blundstones at some point in their lives, and many still do, so will also join me in welcoming our newest partner.
“We are certainly mindful of the investment Blundstone make in Tasmanian events and community welfare and are delighted to partner with them.”
The partnership will include North naming players as Blundstone Ambassadors, digital media, match day signage and activation opportunities at both Etihad Stadium and Blundstone Arena.
