AFL Fantasy is back for another year, and the team at Footy Prophet will again be supplying NMFC.com.au with premium fantasy analysis and tips for the 2016 season.

North Melbourne will take a strong line up to Blundstone Arena this week as the club looks to maintain its undefeated record in 2016 against the Demons in Hobart.

There is just one change to the team, with Scott Thompson coming in for the omitted Lachlan Hansen.

A close-to-unchanged line-up should mean another week of quality fantasy scores for North as they look to achieve what would be the club’s 15th consecutive win over the Demons.

After two weeks of the season Jarrad Waite has lifted himself to be North’s best fantasy player and has the equal eighth-most fantasy points scored of any player so far, with an average of 122 across the first two games.

Whether he will keep up this kind of pace over the weeks to come is not really certain, but right now North fans are enjoying this hot patch of form which has seen him kick eight goals in the opening two rounds.

Daniel Wells has been North’s next best but is only a few points ahead of Todd Goldstein and Brent Harvey in terms of points scored. Wells and Harvey have been arguably North’s most dynamic movers of the ball so far this season, while Goldstein dominated Round 1 before a quiet Round 2.

Wells in particular has so far made $44,000 profit for his AFL Fantasy Classic owners and should continue to rise in value if he keeps going at this pace.

Sam Gibson has bounced back from a low-scoring season last year to deliver two solid games in a row, while Shaun Higgins was quiet against the Lions but very busy in Round 1.

Goldstein and Higgins should both bounce back this week against the Demons. Both players had a day out last time these two clubs met, with Goldstein recording 20 disposals and 50 hitouts, and Higgins amassing 31 disposals and two goals.
