North is running out games better than ever according to Brent Harvey and in his 21st season, the veteran would know.
“Our confidence coming into that last quarter, knowing we’re as fit as any team in the competition, if not fitter, is pretty pleasing to tell you the truth,” he told SEN’s The Run Home on Tuesday night.
“We’re finishing games superbly and I think that’s on the back of not only one hard pre-season, but you go back four or five seasons ago and we’ve had the biggest pre-seasons of all-time.
“I sit back and look at it and think the fitness guys and the coaches ran a really good race for us. We’re running out games now as good as I’ve ever felt throughout my whole career.”
The 37-year-old said excitement is building at Arden Street ahead of a top of the table clash against the Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium on Friday night.
“It’s going to be unbelievable,” Harvey said.
“Not a lot of people would have predicted at the start of the year that in round six on a Friday night, Kangas versus the Bulldogs would be match of the round but it certainly will be this week
“You’ve got two pretty in form teams going at it and if we can get close to fifty thousand it will be sensational for us.
“The Bulldogs are playing an outstanding brand of football and are very, very exciting so I couldn’t see why people wouldn’t want to get along under the roof on Friday night.
