Giant Jonathon Patton will face a fitness test later this week as he looks to prove his availability to take on North Melbourne.

The key-forward was a late withdrawal for Greater Western Sydney's clash against the Suns, after suffering a knock to the hip in the opening round. 

In Round 23 last year, Patton booted five goals against North and polled three Brownlow votes.
