North’s match committee will have close to a full squad to pick from when the club names its side for round one.

Just four players are on the Kangaroos' injury list, with Paul Ahern, Ben Jacobs, Oscar Junker and Mason Wood the only squad members who definitely won’t feature in Sunday’s match against West Coast.

Roos GM Football Cameron Joyce said it was pleasing to have so many players putting their hand up for the season opener.

“Last week we got some more game time in to players like Ben Brown, Jed Anderson and Taylor Garner to name a few and they’ve all pulled up really well after their Werribee practice match,” Joyce told NMFC.com.au.

“We’ve certainly got some headaches in match committee now, with so many players available for selection, but these are certainly the headaches we want to have.

“During the last few months, there were obviously a few guys who had disrupted pre-seasons, but credit must go to our medical team for getting them back in to the frame for round one and all of them have seen some game time in varying amounts.”

North will name a squad of 25 on Thursday evening, with the final 22 to be finalised on Friday.
