It’s hard to think of a North Melbourne player more courageous than Luke McDonald.
With the game in the balance against the Dockers, the defender-turned-forward made that point even more clear; going back with the flight and not knowing what was coming the other way, McDonald didn’t ever take his eye of the ball.
North’s number 11 smashed into an oncoming opponent to pull down a gutsy mark and set the tone for his teammates.
McDonald has been nominated for the AFL’s Mark of the Year.
Courage from Luke McDonald.
