Western Bulldogs' defender Matt Suckling looks likely to join Robert Murphy and Jason Johanissen on the sidelines and miss Friday night's clash against North.

Suckling has admitted he initially feared he had re-torn the ACL graft in his right knee during his team's win over the Brisbane Lions.

The 27-year-old arrived at scans at Victoria House Medical Centre on Sunday morning in a moon boot after injuring his right reconstructed knee and right ankle during the clash with the Lions.

He has since been cleared of damage to his ACL, but the extent of the damage to other structures is not yet known.

Suckling conceded the injuries would almost certainly keep him out of Friday night's top of the table clash against the Kangaroos at Etihad Stadium.

"I'm pretty sore. Something pretty special will have to happen [for me to play], I think," Suckling said.

"It probably looks likely I'll miss a couple of weeks."
