It’s not often a player comes out of a contest against five players with the ball in his hands, but nothing would surprise in Ben Brown’s current form.
Late in the first quarter of Saturday’s game, Brown was edged out of the pack as the ball flew deep into attack; he looked out of the contest, but somehow threw one arm up and plucked the footy out of the air with one hand.
He finished his hard work with a much-deserved goal, one of four for the afternoon for North’s number 50.
Brown’s effort has been nominated for the AFL’s Mark of the Year.
