Melbourne Uni (MUWFC) has kept its finals dreams alive after overcoming a tough Geelong outfit by 13 points on Saturday.
North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroo Jas Garner had an outstanding performance, booting four first quarter goals, and ultimately proved the match-winner.
Garner’s forward dominance was complemented by fellow North teammate Jess Duffin, the defender amassing 29 disposals and holding Geelong to a single behind in the first quarter.
Emma Kearney (26 disposals) and Ash Riddell (21 disposals, 8 tackles, 1 goal) were also instrumental through the middle.
The strong start set the tone for MUWFC with the Cats unable to claw back.
Melbourne Uni will take on the Southern Saints in the first of the semi-finals at 11.45am on Sunday at Adcon Stadium.
