Drew Petrie has added yet another string to his bow, earning his first nomination for the Panasonic AFL Goal of the Year.

The North Melbourne big man was in such fine form on the weekend, he achieved the rare feat of being recognised for both his marking and goal-kicking ability.

Spectators gasped at Etihad Stadium following his unbelievable one handed grab in the second quarter.

It didn't take him long to upstage that effort though. In the dying moments of the match with the result still in the balance, he received a handball tight in the forward pocket, threw the ball on the boot and registered a miracle goal.
