Despite North Melbourne’s 43-point loss to Gold Coast on Sunday, three Kangaroos were awarded votes by the coaches. Lachlan Hansen led the way with three.

Hansen took a career-high 17 marks and had 12 in the first half alone. In an afternoon of career-highs, the key-defender also equalled it in disposals (30) while setting new marks in uncontested disposals (24) and kicks (23).

The number 6 leads the side in intercept marks so far this season with 15 – nine of them contested.

Ben Cunnington’s one vote allowed him to pull level with Brent Harvey at the top of the North Melbourne leaderboard.

A key part of North’s revival during the middle two quarters, Cunnington had nine clearances to go with his 27 disposals.

Nick Dal Santo polled one vote for his game against the Suns. Out of his 26 total possessions, a whopping 20 were contested. It was comfortably a career-high for the former Saint, beating his previous high of 16 which was reached on five occasions.

Overall Tom Lynch led the way. The Gold Coast forward received a perfect 10 votes for his 21 possessions, eight marks and two goals.
