Jed Anderson could miss around two months of football after injuring his shoulder last week.

The small forward ruptured his AC joint and had surgery yesterday afternoon.

"Jed was involved in a full-contact drill last Friday and was tackling when he injured his right shoulder," Senior Performance Consultant Steve Saunders told NMFC.com.au.

"He had a reconstruction of his left shoulder before coming to North, and has injured the right AC joint. We expect him to resume full training in four to six weeks."

Saunders said the type of injury wouldn't restrict Anderson's pre-season conditioning.

"He'll still be able to complete the necessary running, core and leg work," he said.

"We expect him to be fit and available within the first few weeks of the season."
