The North Melbourne list hit the track on Friday morning for its final hit-out for the week, with a Round 1 clash against Gold Coast just over a week away.

The session began with some light sprints and ball work, before transitioning to a heavy skills focus, as the boys look to head to Cairns as sharp as possible.

While he may not be available for Round 1, Sam Wright is looking right at home with the main group.

Wright has been seen increasing his involvement, and his fitness does not look to be an issue.

Wright announced on Thursday via the Powershop Players Podcast that he is eyeing a return to the playing field for the March 31 VFL clash against Collingwood, which is great news for North fans and the coaching staff alike.

Kyron Hayden was also seen back involved with the main group, involved in kicking and skills drills. The powerful young midfielder underwent shoulder surgery at the back end of 2017.

Ben Brown was looking noticeably sharp, which is surely a great sign heading into the season-opener.

Brown took a series of impressive marks, not only against the ‘specky’ bag but through the match-sense drills.

Despite kicking a career-high 63 goals in 2017, Brown isn’t resting on his laurels, with the big man the last off the track after practicing his familiar set-shot routine.
